Postgraduate students have access to the Innovation Lab with its seven dedicated workstations – four Bloomberg terminals and three with access to Eikon/Datastream. There are also 11 other PCs for general use.
The Bloomberg Terminal is a computer software system provided by the financial data vendor Bloomberg L.P. that enables professionals in the financial service sector and other industries to access the Bloomberg Professional service. Through this, users can monitor and analyse real-time financial market data and place trades on the electronic trading platform.
Datastream is a historical financial database with over 35 million individual instruments or indicators across all major asset classes, including 8.5 million active economic indicators. It features 65 years of data across 175 countries – these are the information and tools you need to interpret market trends, economic cycles, and the impact of world events.
