Your learning space provides an important role in your studies. It should inspire you, allow you to meet your academic challenges head-on, and be a location for collaboration and socialising.
A recent £18m refurbishment of the School of Mathematical Sciences took the building to the highest acoustic and environmental standards that meets the needs of students and staff. The building even houses spaces to socialise between lectures.
Within the School's building you will have access to a lecture theatre which seats up to 144 students, high-quality teaching rooms, private and group study areas, a postgraduate student office, and an IT lab fitted with 42 computers.
To reflect some of the School’s academic functions, you'll find the building is clad with a Penrose tiling pattern.
The School is located on Queen Mary's Mile End campus. On campus you'll find a sports and fitness centre, various locations for food and refreshments and have access to library facilities.
