Dr Rainbow Murray appeared on Sky News on Saturday 24 March and France 24 on Thursday 22 March discussing the impact of the Toulouse shootings on the forthcoming French elections. She argued that French President Nicolas Sarkozy would be advantaged, as the political agenda shifts back to immigration, law and order and national security - all issues that tend to favour the Right. She commented that in the first round of voting, we may see a bigger ‘bump’ in the polls for far-right candidate Marine le Pen, with Sarkozy picking up votes in the second round.
