Professor Tim Bale, appeared on BBC Politics Live to discuss Tuesday's vote on new Covid restrictions in England and the state of the parties two years on from the last general election. When asked about the introduction of COVID-19 passes, he said "I think there is a risk for the Conservative party. I think if Omicron does what some people suggest it will do, then I think we are going to look pretty silly actually if they vote against restrictions as they see it - when the public health emergency is growing ever greater, every day."
