Recent polling suggests young people may be less likely to want to take a vaccine, with some respondents citing concerns around fertility and pregnancy. Professor Sophie Harman from the School of Politics at Queen Mary told the BBC: “When we think about vaccine hesitancy among young people, I think the key factors are communication and how we’ve communicated around the vaccine, trust in government and discrimination and stigma towards younger populations.”. When speaking about fertility and the vaccine, Harman states “there should not be concerns around the fertility at the moment, there’s no risk there that we can see.”
