Gender Research Group (GRG)

The Gender Research Group is the home for scholarship, public engagement and policy expertise on gender in the School of Politics and International Relations.

Our collective approach to gender is expansive (incorporating queer, postcolonial, intersectional and masculinity perspectives), interdisciplinary (overlapping with political philosophy, global health, sociology and history), and global (spanning parliaments, social movements, and international institutions).

Alongside our regular seminar series we regularly collaborate with colleagues across the university and beyond to deliver our year-round programme of events, conferences and book launches. The group includes staff, doctoral students and affiliated researchers and we especially welcome interest from prospective PhD students, postdoctoral researchers and visiting scholars.
