SKETCH qLegal Project Officer

Profile

I am the SKETCH qLegal Project Officer, based within the award-winning qLegal clinic at the Centre for Commercial Law Studies. In addition to supporting the qLegal team, I facilitate the sharing of best practice and knowledge among the six SKETCH pillars.

Prior to joining Queen Mary University of London, I worked in Istanbul for six years as a secondary school English Literature teacher. As well as designing and delivering programmes of learning, I also led extra-curricular projects such as the junior Model United Nations and World Scholar’s Cup clubs.

Additionally, I have five years of experience in the legal and public sectors: three years as an Investigations Coordinator within an independent regulator appointed by the Scottish Parliamentary Corporate Body, and two years as an Intellectual Property Paralegal in Osaka, supporting international companies and start-ups with the filing processes in Japan. I am a graduate of the University of Edinburgh.

I have spent several years volunteering within ESL communities throughout the UK and am dedicated to the development of neurodivergent-friendly working practices.
