Doctoral Seminar and Discussion Group with Dr Marc Mimler, City University of London

The event will include a discussion group led by Dr Marc Mimler, City, University of London, about his recent book chapter ‘Do the Right Thing ’ or ‘Fight the Power? ’: Hip-Hop Music, Sampling and Copyright Law’, and a doctoral seminar.

The formula of the seminar is that 2-3 PhD students give 10-minute presentations about their research, which is followed by 10-15 minutes of feedback and questions from the audience. This gives the student an excellent opportunity to develop presenting skills and get valuable feedback from more experienced academics.

3-5pm – Doctoral Seminar
