Dr Jonathan Kennedy
Reader in Politics and Global Health

Jonathan will be working with the Queen Mary Academy as a Fellow for 18 months from January 2023. His project explores the potential for virtual educational exchanges to improve student access to international opportunities. This builds on a Fulbright Commission-sponsored exchange between students at QM University and UC Santa Cruz.
Jonathan is a Reader in Politics and Global Health in the Centre for Public Health and Policy. He is also co-Deputy Director of the Centre for Public Health and Policy.
He has PhD in sociology from the University of Cambridge (2013).
His new book, Pathogenesis: How infectious diseases shaped human history is published by Penguin in April 2023.
