What's in it for me?
You will gain a Level 7 qualification and international recognition of your practice from Advance HE. As well as enhancing your practice and building confidence, you will become part of a supportive community of educators.
How will it impact my practice?
Through practical, authentic activities and assessment, you will develop strategies for design and delivery of effective inclusive education for Queen Mary students.
I have definitely incorporated elements into my practice and I think I am a better teacher due to undertaking the course
How does it benefit Queen Mary?
Our programmes are aligned to Queen Mary's Active Curriculum for Excellence and designed to support educators in delivering our Strategy 2030. We support the development of world class educators and programmes that enable the delivery of an inclusive educational environment where students and staff flourish and reach their true potential.
How many people have completed the programmes?
Over the past five years, more than 370 colleagues have successfully completed the PGCAP and over 400 have gained CILT.

What are the core values/themes of the programmes?
PGCAP and CILT are designed with Queen Mary's values (IPACE) at their heart.
- Inclusive: Inclusivity runs throughout the programmes as a central theme, and underpins all of our educational development support. Inclusive design, social justice and intercultural learning are all key themes.

- Ambitious: We seek to model best practice and integrate the latest educational research into our offering, supporting participants to critically engage with their roles as dual professionals.
- Collegial: We place emphasis on co-creation and the development of a community of practice among participants. Collaboration and learning from others plays a central role in our development approach.
- Ethical: Research and academic ethics are vital to our programmes. We support colleagues to also consider wider social contexts for practice such as educational for sustainable development and social justice.
