What is my current/next module?

All participants enrolled on CILT take module ADP7216 Learning and Teaching in HE followed by ADP7217 Learning and Teaching in the Disciplines. Participants enrolled on PGCAP continue on to modules ADP7218 Curriculum Design and finally ADP7219 Action (Practitioner) Research. Modules must be taken sequentially and cannot be taken concurrently.

What are the Grading Criteria?

How do I enrol?

You will receive a welcome email from the team which will outline the admin tasks which you will need to complete in order to be fully enrolled on the programme.

How do I get a student card?

Please contact the Student Enquiry Centre.

Can I swap my seminar group?​

You will be asked to choose one seminar group and we cannot normally allow you to swap between groups during semester. Please discuss your request with your tutor if it is a one-off.

What can't I access QMplus?

Please contact adp@qmul.ac.uk and we will try to help you with your query. If we are not able to resolve the issue then we will ask you to raise a ticket with IT Services.

As part of my probation I need to submit a progress letter, how can I get that?

Please contact us via email adp@qmul.ac.uk and we will provide a letter confirming your progress on the programme.

How can I submit a claim for Extenuating Circumstances?

Claims are submitted on MySIS. Please use this link to visit the Extenuating Circumstances guidance.

How do I interrupt or withdraw from my studies?

Contact us via email adp@qmul.ac.uk to let us know if you want to interrupt or withdraw. You can find more information on the Interrupting your Studies and Withdrawing from your Studies Registry webpages.

How can I change my programme from CILT to PGCAP?

Please contact us via email adp@qmul.ac.uk if you are interested in changing programme. If you are eligible, you will need to complete a change of programme form and submit a statement of support from a referee.

When will I graduate?

Most Queen Mary Academy programme results go to our summer exam board, with the exception of participants with late summer resits. You will normally graduate in the July following the completion of your final module with us. Find out more from the Graduation webpage

How long will it take to receive Advance HE Fellowship? What is the process?

Successful completion of CILT or PGCAP means that you will also be awarded Associate Fellowship or Fellowship of Advance HE. Once your result is confirmed our team will arrange your registration with Advance HE. Within approximately two weeks of receiving your official programme results you will receive an email from Advance HE with your Fellowship certificate.

When will I receive my certificate?

Certificates are printed and sent out from Queen Mary’s central team. You should receive your certificate in the August after you complete your programme. Please check that the postal address on your student Mysis account is up to date. Find out more on the Registry webpages.

Do I receive Associate Fellowship after completion of the first half of PGCAP?

No, you will only receive Associate Fellowship if you are enrolled on and complete CILT. For PGCAP you will receive Fellowship on successful completion of the programme. 

What other programmes are available once I complete PGCAP?

From September 2025 we will be running a new MEd programme, for further information you can contact adp@qmul.ac.uk
