I love being a mentor because I get the opportunity to meet colleagues I wouldn’t probably otherwise meet; I can help them in a tangible way with something they can use in their careers and I learn a lot about work that happens at the university. By engaging in a dialogue around education, I also learn to see things differently and I hone my critical skills. It’s always good to hear fresh perspectives!
