During my first year of Mechanical Engineering, I noticed a lack of programming support within IT lessons, leading to over-reliance on AI and poor conceptual understanding. To address this, I co-created a Python help guide, practice problems sheet, and installation guide with two other undergraduates under the supervision of an academic, with a common goal to support students, especially beginners, in building a strong foundation in coding. It has been piloted in the first-year course, and within current modules of mine. This project enhanced my collaboration, communication, and programming skills, while fostering a better learning environment for my peers.
