PGT Professional Development Award

This activity prepares postgraduate students for the job market, ensuring they are equipped with the key skills that employers seek. It is based on four key areas: Communication, Expertise, Market Awareness, and Employability.

Criteria:

1: Successfully complete one of the following in-sessional modules
• Storytelling for success
• Inter-cultural communication
• Professional writing for the global workplace
• Presentation skills

2: Successfully complete one of the following activities
• Optional Modules: Amplify trading, C++ for finance, Finance trading programme, Matlab, Python (full list of optional modules for 2023-24 TBC).
• Extra-Curricular Activities: QUMMIF, CFA Research Challenge, qNomics.

3: Attend at least one of the specialised talks organised by the School of Economics and Finance (the list of eligible workshops will be shared with students at the start of the academic year).

4: Attend at least one of the workshops organised by the Careers and Enterprise Team (the list of eligible workshops will be shared with students at the start of the academic year).
