Unpaid fees

It is important to ensure you pay your fees on time and well within deadlines set to ensure your studies are not impeded in any way - This page outlines outcomes of unpaid fees.

There may be instances where we are unable to fulfil a request or provide documentation due to fees not being paid either during your studies with us, or once you have graduated if these have not been paid. If your fees remain unpaid, you would need to speak to our Fees Team at Queen Mary to learn about next steps, how this debt may be collected and methods of payment.

If you need further guidance regarding finances, our Advice and Counselling Service hosts pages related to money and practical advice that may be of use, or reaching out directly to our fees team to enquire over timeframes of payment and how this is structured. They can be contacted via email at fees@qmul.ac.uk

If you have unpaid fees (unpaid tuition fees, field trip charges) then you will not be able to

  • access re-enrolment
  • obtain official documents and letters
  • get a replacement student ID card
  • receive your results
  • access your HEAR

You might be able to pay your outstanding fees online by using ePay

In order to make a payment by the web you will need:

  • A valid email address in order to receive confirmation on the status of your payment
  • A Credit / Debit card - MasterCard, Visa, Delta, Solo and Maestro

Please make sure that you read the University's Terms and Conditions.

You can pay fines online here. Alternatively, fines can be paid in the library at the Self-service kiosks using your Queen Mary ID/Library card. If you are experiencing difficulties with fines for any reason, please contact the Library (library@qmul.ac.uk) for further advice.
