The Timetabling Support team are dedicated to providing the best possible teaching and learning environment for students and staff. We are responsible for allocating all centrally-booked teaching space throughout the College, and for the booking of lecture capture requirements. We can also assist with reporting any issues relating to these rooms and their facilities. Please see the links below for quick access to our pages listing not only frequently asked questions, but understanding your timetable and other resources available to you at Queen Mary.
Very occasionally, a lecture, seminar or other educational activity has to be cancelled because the academic leading the session can’t make it: for example, because they are unwell, or run into travel problems etc.
These issues are normally handled locally in the academic department or Institute, and the education is made up in a timely manner. In order for us to ensure that all education that is missed is made up, we have developed an online form for you to report any educational activity that is cancelled, and where you have not been told, or are not sure, that it will be made up.
If you fill in this form, your academic department or Institute will look into the issue and report back to you. If you do fill in a form please bear with us, as it may take a couple of weeks to report back to you. If you are looking to book teaching facilities for a non-teaching event, please ensure you review the Booking Policy for Non-teaching Events [PDF 89KB] to assist with understanding what use can be made of teaching rooms for other purposes, and where charging for this use may apply, in addition to the process for applying for charges to be waived.
