Student Timetable FAQs

This page hosts frequently asked questions designed to answer student queries including where you may find your timetable, how to book rooms and who to contact should there be any issues.


Please note, our 'Frequently asked questions' are not an exhaustive resource. If your query remains unanswered, there are contacts you can locate via the Registry Services' 
Contact Directory Webpage. If you are not fully enrolled or you have not completed the module registration process then you will not have access to your full timetable. We have a dedicated webpage for Staff Frequently asked questions related to timetabling software and troubleshooting. 

Your timetable is released by your Academic Department and will be uploaded for you on your QMPlus App, Additionally, you can view your timetable via the Web timetables. If you are struggling to access your QMPlus app please speak to your Academic Department who is responsible for its administration.

If you wish to change your seminar group, please contact your course administration who is responsible for this scheduling. You may find their details through our Who's Who webpage.

If you wish to change your course, please contact your course administration. You may find their details through our Who's Who webpage. They would need to approve any changes in course before passing this onto the Student Records team. Please note, we have a webpage on changing your programme with detailed instructions.

A change of course may take time to process and as such, any changes to your timetable may not be immediate. This can usually take 48-72 hours to update on your official timetable.

Yes, the QMPlus App is the primarily location for your timetable. If this does not appear please contact your course administrators within your Academic Department for further assistance. 

As a returning student you should be able to view your timetable in the August of the Academic Year you are beginning as part of a term time release.

If you are unable to view your timetable, please ensure you are fully enrolled and that your modules have been appropriately registered. This should be update after around 2 working days of the above criteria being met. Please reach out to your Academic Department if this has not appeared on your QMPlus App.

If you wish to book a room for a society meeting please reach out to the Queen Mary Student Union who will be able to advise you more appropriately.

If you believe you are in the wrong tutorial group, please contact your course administration who is responsible for this scheduling. You may find their details through our Who's Who webpage.

If you have a timetable clash, please contact your course administration who is responsible for this scheduling. You may find their details through our Who's Who webpage.

If you have arrived to a vacant room please check your QMPlus App or the Web timetables Page. I to ensure the room number matches your location, any any communications from your Academic Department regarding any issues.

  As an associate student your modules and timetabling are prompted by the Study Abroad Team, they can be visited in room 2.13 in the Graduate Centre at their office or via email at study-abroad@qmul.ac.uk.

If you need clarification over why your scheduling might have been arranged over multiple days, please contact your course administration who is responsible for this scheduling. You may find their details through our Who's Who webpage.

In exceptional circumstances certain Faculty of medicine and dentistry timetabling may take place in Mile End Campus. For further clarity please contact your course administration who is responsible for this scheduling. You may find their details through our Who's Who webpage.

If you believe you are missing some classes in your timetable please first ensure you are officially registered on the module, if so, contact your course administration who is responsible for this scheduling. You may find their details through our Who's Who webpage.
