Profile
I completed my master’s and PhD at the University of Aberdeen, where I focused on the epidemiology of sea lice and the molecular immunological response to amoeba in salmonids. Following this, I joined the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine as a post-doctoral research fellow to investigate the host immune response to the neglected tropical disease ocular Chlamydia trachomatis, working in Professor Martin Holland’s research group. I continued to work in laboratory-based roles on a variety of projects while also working as an epidemiologist for the international consortium Tropical Data.
During my PhD and post-doctoral positions I have supervised multiple master’s students and taught on numerous distance learning modules as well as in-person lectures. I am a fellow of the higher education authority and completed my Post Graduate Certificate in Learning and Teaching in 2022.
