Profile

Bio: I employ computational approaches to study molecular adaptations within a comparative phylogenetics framework. I completed my PhD at the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) Bhopal, India, with a dissertation titled: Complexity of Low Complexity Regions (LCRs): From Evolution to Disorder. My research focused on examining the abundance patterns and positional preferences of various types of LCRs within the Tetrapoda clade.

Project: Bats serve as natural reservoirs for various viruses without exhibiting lethal symptoms, due to their specialized immune systems. While their unique molecular adaptations contribute to this remarkable ability, these adaptations remain poorly understood. I use a range of computational approaches to investigate the molecular mechanisms that enable viral tolerance in bat species. By leveraging publicly available datasets, I compare species- and clade-specific variations that enhance viral tolerance in different bat species, enabling them to thrive in their respective environments.
