Project Title: AI-driven Omics Data Integration and Transfer Learning for Target and Biomarker Identification
Summary: The PhD project aims to explore novel interactions involving G Protein Coupled Receptors (GPCRs) by leveraging a multimodal knowledge graph framework. GPCRs are vital targets in drug discovery due to their involvement in various physiological processes and their significant role in diseases like cancer and diabetes. This project seeks to build an integrated data structure capturing relationships between GPCRs, their ligands, G Proteins, downstream signaling proteins, and disease associations. Data sources include transcriptomics, metabolomics, and databases like ChEMBL and Reactome. Advanced graph querying techniques, including machine learning, will enable edge prediction, offering insights into novel protein-disease and protein-chemical interactions.
