It was a rewarding experience to start my MSc Management journey at Queen Mary University of London, consisting of theoretical coursework and assignments. Like other students, I frequently pondered how these ideas would be used in the actual world. When I was given the option to pick between a dissertation and the Capstone Project, it was the turning point in my life. I trusted my gut and chose the Capstone Project, which was a component of the BUSM249 module, a decision that proved to be transformative. This lesson opened my eyes by demonstrating how academic concepts may be used to address practical problems, bridging the gap between theory and practice in ways I never thought possible. The Capstone Project not only deepened my academic insights but also provided me with invaluable practical experience.
The Capstone Project was more than just an academic assignment, it was an exploration of the dynamic field of management consulting. Collaborating with classmates who shared my enthusiasm for hands-on learning was incredibly inspiring. I was fascinated by the way various businesses came to us with unique business challenges, seeking innovative solutions to expand their visions. One such company was Carbon Cell, a pioneer in carbon-negative packaging. Their innovative approach and complex challenges resonated deeply with me. It was at this point that I fully appreciated the value of my years of theoretical education, internships, and aspirations in management consulting. This alignment transformed the project from a mere task into a meaningful journey, sharpening my skills and shaping my perspective.
I wholeheartedly recommend the Capstone Project module to incoming students, it is an engaging, challenging, and highly rewarding experience that equips you with unparalleled professional skills.— Himoghno Narayan Ghosh

It reinforced the importance of adaptability and teamwork in addressing today’s complex business challenges.
One of the highlights of this journey was working with a brilliant team that shared my goal of tackling the most challenging problems to maximize learning.
