Weber is a Lecturer in Digital Innovation in Business and Society. She joined the school in May 2024, having previously worked at the University of Göttingen, Germany. She holds a doctoral degree from the University of Göttingen and a diploma from the University of Cologne, Germany. She has been a visiting researcher at UCL School of Management in 2023 and at Stanford University in 2015. Clarissa’s work is situated at the intersection of organisation studies, strategic management, and entrepreneurship. She primarily investigates the nature and effectiveness of individual and organisational (micro-) strategies and behaviours in contexts of collaboration, change, and resource scarcity. The empirical settings she studies include healthcare, digital platforms, and high-tech organisations. Her work has been published in leading international journals, such as Organization Science, Organization Studies, Socio-Economic Review and the Journal of World Business, among others. Clarissa has received several grants and awards for her work. She has extensive teaching experience at undergraduate and postgraduate levels in various areas of organisation and management. She has been a selection-committee member for an accelerator programme and has advised multiple early-stage entrepreneurs.
