Biography:

Dr Kamran Sarmadi is a Lecturer (Assistant Professor) in Logistics and Transportation at the School of Business and Management, Queen Mary University of London. Prior to joining Queen Mary, he was a Lecturer in Transport and Logistics Management and the Deputy Programme Leader of the MA Logistics and Supply Chain Management at the University of Greenwich Business School. Additionally, he worked as a research assistant at the Newcastle University Business School, Newcastle University. Kamran holds a PhD in Operations and Supply Chain Management from Newcastle University Business School. He received an MSc in Logistics & Supply Chain Management and a BSc in Industrial Engineering.

His main area of expertise is the application of operations research (OR) and mathematical programming to transport, logistics, operations, and supply chain management problems. His research focuses on optimising decision-making problems in logistics and supply chain management. Kamran is a research-active academic, and his work appears in internationally recognised and high-impact journals.
