Project title
Regional integration governance and industrial upgrading: a comparative study
Project description
This research project aims to explore how the dynamics of differentiated territorial governance influence regional industrial upgrading progress against the backdrop of the restructuring of global production networks, with a focus on the high-tech sector. Through a comparative analysis of several key city-regions in China, the research will investigate the interactions between state-local institutional networks and specific global supply chains to reveal the key mechanisms and potential constraints affecting regional industrial upgrading, and subsequently explore the broader applicability of the findings to other regions around the world.
