Title of research

How does the infodemic shape people’s perceptions of climate change?

Project Description

We examine the influence of the infodemic on public attitudes of climate change using the fixed effects logit model. The study focuses on 34 African countries and employed annual panel data from 2014 to 2021. The study fills the gap in the literature by assessing the link between the infodemic and public attitudes towards climate change. The majority of the previous studies concentrated on the health implications of the infodemic. The study finds that the infodemic may make people feel worried about climate change in their country. However, higher education is likely to affect the relationship between the infodemic and climate change perception.
