The School of Economics and Finance is a world-class research-intensive department committed to delivering education excellence that supports inclusivity and social mobility.
Our award is for Queen Mary University London Home fee-status students graduating in 2025 and alumni class of 2024 who study an MSc, which starts in either September 2025 or January 2026, and covers the difference between the UK fee and the UK Masters Loan.*
All our MSc courses are open to students who have a background in economics and finance, as well as to those from other backgrounds who are suitably qualified and want to transition to this area.

Please note that to be eligible for the ‘Progression Scholarship’ applicants should meet the following criteria:
- Be assessed as a Home student for tuition fees
- Have firmly accepted an offer from Queen Mary University of London to study one of our postgraduate full-time programmes within the School of Economics and Finance
You do not need to apply for this scholarship separately as every applicant for a place on a masters programme will be considered automatically.
