The Care Café was created in response to the 2016 US election and Brexit to provide a place for people to gather and process global events. Using the familiarity of the café environment coupled with hands on activities and a structure of care, a recognized framework for social interaction is enacted to lend a sense of comfort and safety for those who choose to engage.
