SOMEONE TO WATCH OVER ME: New ways of understanding the police, culture and the favela in Rio de Janeiro.
LINK TO OVERALL INVESTIGATION ON TERRITORY, PERFORMANCE AND RESILIENCE: During this investigation in 2015-16, HERITAGE set up the initial partnership with Maré Development Networks and began a collaborative study with Dr Sousa SILVA about the role, responsibilities and resources that civil society cultural organisations bring to address the challenges of living in territories exposed to high levels of lethal armed violence (regarded as a public health crisis). This project also experimented with data production and dissemination using multiple research instruments that included creative practices (such as the performance installation Outros Registros, indexed at 2.2.4).
