Development of the workshops was broken into three stages:
- The creation and international tour of RUFF, using audience response and feedback as groundwork for workshop development.
- Experimentation with workshop protocols through public and community workshops to translate performance methodologies to workshop methodologies. A partnership with the Stroke Association was established.
- Collaboration with computer and cognitive scientists at QMUL, particularly PhD candidate Rosella Galindo Esparza, to integrate interaction technology and to disseminate workshops to stroke support groups and health professionals.
