Profile
I am a producer for a number of artists and companies including, Kevin Barry, Paul Curley, TheEmergencyRoom, HotForTheatre, Kellie Hughes, Shane O’Reilly, Seán Mac Erlaine, Raymond Scannell, Dylan Tighe and United Fall. She has toured work extensively in Ireland and internationally.
I have worked in the arts in varying roles since 2000, working with the Abbey Theatre, City Arts Centre, Dublin Writers Festival, Irish Theatre Institute and Arts Audiences. In 2012 I became an Independent Producer creating relationships with a number of highly skilled and talented independent artists and companies in Ireland. Being a Research Fellow means I can concentrate on creating a sustainable structure for producing work long term.
Work
Currently I am producing work in association with Cusack Projects Limited, Edinburgh International Festival, The Everyman Cork, Galway International Arts Festival, Priject Arts Centre and Poetry Ireland.
The projects that interest me are generally new writing, adaptations of prose or poetry and dance theatre. In the coming months I shall produce the world premiere of Laurent Gaudé’s Danse, Morob; Kevin Barry’s Autumn Royal and Paul Muldoon’s Incantata.
I have been awarded a bursary from the Arts Council of Ireland to enable time & space to research and develop the idea of an Irish Artsadmin. I will shadow, investigate and interview highly esteemed international producers & examine what makes their work successful to deepen my knowledge of producing work and to create a sustainable producing model for independent artists and companies.
I sit on the boards of RADE (Recovery through Art, Drama and Education) and NAYD (the National Association of Youth Drama) and Theatre Forum. I am the Independent Producer in Residence at Rough Magic since 2013 and Manager of Rough Magic SEEDS programme mentoring five emerging theatre artists over the course of two years.
