This conference presents on the intersections between Creative Arts and Mental Health. Work in these fields currently takes place within single disciplines (such as Art Therapy, Music Therapy and Applied Theatre); the main objective of the conference is to bring these and related disciplines together to explore a variety of issues common to both subjects, including: the relationship between creativity and mental health; the arts as a means of changing perceptions and provoking discussion around mental health issues; art as therapy, recovery and resilience; the arts and the representation of mental health in the public sphere.
