Lucie is a Reader in the School of Economics and Finance at Queen Mary, University of London, Associate Director at the Institute for Fiscal Studies, co-editor of the Journal of Public Economics and a Research Affiliate at the CEPR and the IGC.
Her research in the past has focused on public policy in developing countries. In on-going work, Lucie is studying environmental policy questions in the UK, including the effects of air pollution on human capital and the determinants of households' carbon emissions
