Pitching and Submission Guidelines

This student-run Blog aims to provide opportunities for students at all levels and experiences. If you'd like to get involved but are unsure about exactly how or in what way, please ask!

For Blog pieces: we expect most pieces to be between 250-900 words, but are flexible (particularly for creative writing and poetry).

If you have prior writing experience, send us a 100-word pitch with a 500-word writing sample (portfolio item). If you don't have prior writing experience, that's not a problem, as we can offer editorial support for beginners and less confident writers, but it would help to have a plan or draft of the proposed piece.

We would also be delighted to receive suggestions for other types of creative input, including, but not limited to, art-work, photographs, vlogs or mini-films: please get in touch (see the 'About us and how to get involved' tab)!
