Our last departmental research seminar for this term.
In our last departmental research seminar for this term, our current PhD students presented some of their work in progress. Anastasia Korotonozhkina spoke about her work on Russian Production Art and aestehtic formalism in the context of the Bolshevik revolution, Julian Koch gave a paper on the conception of 'archetypos' and 'typos' in Celan's poetics and Andrew Hines talked about his research into the concept of metaphor and 'likeness' after Nietzsche. The papers offered a window into the exciting and diverse research that our students are undertaking and generated a stimulating conversation among the group. Many thanks to our students for presenting their work and to all those who attended for their contibutions to the discussion.
