Emily Apter to deliver this year's Steiner Lecture

The 2015-16 Steiner Lecture will be delivered by esteemed scholar of world literature and translation studies, Emily Apter.

We are very happy to announce that the 2015-16 Steiner Lecture will be delivered by esteemed scholar of world literature and translation studies, Emily Apter (NYU). Her talk will be entitled 'What is Just Translation?’.

She joins a growing list of leading thinkers in the field of comparative literature who have given this lecture including Haun Saussy, David Damrosch, Terence Cave, Marina Warner and of course George Steiner.

The date has been set for 17 March 2015. We will be posting further information and details of how to register in the coming months.
