Galin Tihanov, George Steiner Professor of Comparative Literature, has been invited to deliver a keynote address at the Twenty First International Conference of the Forum on Contemporary Theory (FCT), in India. Other speakers include Homi Bhabha (Harvard) and Bruce Robbins (Columbia).
The Forum on Contemporary Theory fosters an interdisciplinary community of teachers, researchers and students committed to critical thinking in the humanities and social sciences in India and South Asia. The XXI International Conference, jointly organised by the FCT and the International Lincoln Centre for American Studies, Louisiana State University in Shreveport, will take place in Puri, Odisha (India) on 18 - 21 December 2018.
