Danyal's doctoral research employs an interdisciplinary approach to conceptualise Khwaja Sira identity in post-colonial Pakistan. The study investigates socio-cultural and religious factors that contribute to workplace discrimination and exclusion for white-collar Khwaja Sira individuals in Pakistan. Additionally, it examines the role of media and film as instruments of popular culture in shaping the workplace experiences of Khwaja Sira professionals.
