Intergenerational Dialogues

When I went to live with my grandmother, we talked about these things, then she said: you have to learn how to cook, to clean the house, you have to do everything for your husband. Then I said, but why cannot we share? In my house there, with my mother, my father, we divide. Then she said: 'Your grandfather, poor man, he works all day in the fields, we have to do something for him. He's the one bringing the food into the house.' After we started talking, now they sit down, I do, or, from time to time, he makes a juice and gives it to her [...]. There was a breakthrough.
