Events in language and cognition II: Cross-linguistic perspectives
This is the second lecture of a mini-workshop on how language relates to event cognition. Given that different languages represent events differently, the lecture discusses how event language might affect (and be affected by) cognitive processes, and how children across language communities acquire language-general and language-specific ways of encoding events.
