Funding is provided via the China Scholarship Council.
We have developed a radiation dosimeter, sensitive to a large variety of ionising radiation which:
This project will optimise the materials and processing specifically for personal dosimetry and environmental monitoring applications, and critically, perform the real-world environmental tests needed to deploy and roll out the technology. The sensitivity of the dosimeters will be extended to include neutrons, and careful quantitative calibration will be carried out for all radiation types. The prototype and software needed to quantitatively measure the received dose will be developed.
Possible applications of these dosimeters are:
The project will create a needs-case for each application, which will be used to produce and test optimised dosimeters for the different applications.
