Dr. Kalogiros is a Lecturer in Data Science and Fellow of the Higher Education Academy at Queen Mary University of London, as well as at the London City Institute of Technology.
Dr. Kalogiros's unwavering dedication and significant influence on students' experiences have been recognized through this award. He has consistently gone above and beyond in improving the learning experience at Queen Mary University of London.
Every year, the Student Union runs the awards process, nominating staff for excellence. The Education Awards include the Teaching Awards, which are given to staff members who have made outstanding contributions to the student experience. This year, student representatives and executive officers reviewed over 300 nominations to select the winners.
Reflecting on his achievement, Dr. Kalogiros expressed his joy and gratitude: “What a wonderful evening at ‘The Education Awards’ across Queen Mary University of London! I am on cloud nine, shining with joy, but most importantly, honored to receive the 'Academic Advice Champion' award, a significant accolade of recognition from students. I truly believe that university is primarily a community ‘with students, for students, by students,’ with mentoring always at the heart of personalized learning.
