Profile

I am a Lecturer in Mathematics at the School of Physical and Chemical Sciences and a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.

I completed my PhD at Newcastle University for my thesis on "Superoptimal Analytic Approximation and Exterior Products."

My academic journey has included a Lectureship in Pure Mathematics at Newcastle University and a Research Fellowship at the Euler International Mathematical Institute in St. Petersburg.

I hold both a Master of Science in Pure Mathematics and a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics. My professional experience extends beyond academia, with positions in Data Engineering and Operations Research at Kagool Ltd and NFRS, respectively. Additionally, I am Microsoft Certified in Azure Fundamentals, Azure Data Fundamentals, and Power Platform Fundamentals.

Teaching

In the academic year 2024-2025 I am teaching Linear Programming and Games for the Queen Mary University of London in Hainan, China.

I am available to discuss potential supervision of final year projects both in SPCS and Mathematics.

Research

Research Interests:

My research is on superoptimal analytic approximation of matrix-valued functions and on wedge products of vector-valued maps in function spaces.

My current interests include spectral matrix factorisations, RKHS, Hankel operators and Hardy spaces.

More broadly, I am working with elements from matrix analysis, function theory and functional analysis.

I am eager to connect with individuals who have research interests in these areas or related fields.

For students, if these topics align with your career goals, please do not hesitate to reach out to discuss potential BSc and MSc projects.
