Profile
Dr Gloria Molinero is a Lecturer in Technical Language and Academic Skills within the Faculty of Science and Engineering at Queen Mary University of London. She is module organiser and Chair for the academic misconduct committee, ensuring quality in learning and teaching for the Queen Mary School Hainan Programme.
With a combined background in applied mathematics and linguistics, Gloria obtained her Doctorate in Education at the University of Liverpool while working in field of language acquisition and academic skills for many years in universities across the UK and China. Her research interests concern interdisciplinary collaborations in teaching and learning (CLIL), practices in assessment and academic integrity, and pedagogies using AI technologies. Currently working on a project involving AI and LLMs applications on language recognition to enhance class dynamics, language acquisition, and learning autonomy.

Research Interests:
Enthusiastic in connecting with students and researchers in the fields of Computer Science and Education keen in drawing the path to new educational approaches and lead the way in multidisciplinary advances in these related research interests:
- AI-based applications in assessment for learning:
- in grading processes, criteria, academic integrity and misconduct,
- in the design and development of inclusive and active assessments in formative and summative stages, and
- in adaptive learning and real-time feedback in intelligent assessments and learning analytics.
- Educational approaches to computational linguistics in the comprehension and understanding of how the brain processes language through computational models or cognitive computational neuroscience of language.
- Educational projects for gender balance in STEM education
