Profile

Hi, I am a Postdoctoral Research Assistant in the Space and Astrophysical Plasma Physics Group, working in the team of Dr. Christopher Chen. I joined Queen Mary University of London after completing my PhD in 2024 at the University of Graz, Austria. Apart from my research work on space plasmas in the heliosphere, I am a live-long space enthusiast with an interest in astronomy and astrophotography.

Research

Research Interests:

My research tackles the plasma between the solar wind and Earth's magnetic field with all its intricacies, primarily based on in-situ spacecraft measurements. I analyse effects under the lens of cross-disciplinary approaches, highlighting the connections of different fields of solar, heliospheric, and magnetospheric physics. The following points are some of the research focuses of my current and previous works:

  • Effects of large-scale solar wind structures on the near-Earth plasma environment, specifically on the bow shock and magnetosheath
  • Emergence of magnetosheath jets and how they interact with the surrounding plasma
  • Investigate plasma instability and turbulence in the magnetosheath
  • A broad interest in solar and stellar activity, specifically stellar flares and coronal mass ejections
