Programme Overview

In this new undergraduate Applied AI programme set to launch in September 2025, you’ll build a strong foundation in the mathematics, programming, and deep learning skills that form the core of AI software and applications. Starting in your first year, you’ll engage in hands-on projects led by top researchers and AI industry professionals, building a professional portfolio to enhance your employability.

Module Highlights

  • Coding Practices in AI Development: Learn the tools of the trade for AI application and development.
  • Exploring AI and Understanding Applications: In this module, you will look into the big topics surrounding the use of AI today, including ethics, sustainability, equality, diversity and inclusion and more.
  • AI in the Real World: Explore the different industries that AI is used in, the real-world examples of what jobs people are doing, and how different techniques can be used in multiple sectors.
  • Entrepreneurship and Consultancy: You will have the opportunity to learn how to pitch to business professionals and see AI consultancy works in practice.

Outcomes

On completion of this programme, you will have the skills and knowledge to work in the AI field across a variety of industries, including healthcare, consultancy, AI and data science, law and business analysis, research, academia and more.
