The English Language requirements for entry to Summer School, Study Abroad and Exchange Programmes (applications through the Global Partnerships and Opportunities Office) falls within the following English band:
See all accepted English tests that we deem equivalent to these IELTS, TOEFL and the Cambridge C1 Advanced scores.
*Students from 'Majority English Speaking Countries (as defined on this webpage) DO need to provide evidence of this. Students applying from this list of countries will need to provide English language evidence in the form of their high school transcript or degree certificate.

We welcome international qualifications and we consider every application individually on its academic merit. If you would like to discuss your eligibility with the Summer School Team before submitting an application, you can contact us at summerschool@qmul.ac.uk. To join our summer school you must be 18 years of age or older.
Please be aware that qualifications for summer school differ from the standard Queen Mary Admissions requirements. Acceptance onto the Summer School does not qualify you for acceptance or advance standing admission into any other Queen Mary course, including other Study Abroad Programmes.
