Banner Hero

Banner heros are used at the top of landing pages. They allow you to include a little more detail and navigate to other areas of your site/pages from it with the option to add a button.

Banner hero example

Here's what a banner hero look like. They are a great way of 'branding' your section with colour and a promotional image.

Steps

Step one - creating your 'Banner Hero' before adding an image

  1. Make sure you fill out the relevant fields.
  2. Apart from the name (which doesn't appear on the public webpage) and the heading, all other fields are optional.

Step 2 - adding an image (optional)

  1. If you want to add an image you will need to add it to the relevant folder within the T4 Media Libray.
  2. Banner heros require four images, so you will need to create three variants of the image you upload to the library.
  3. The dimensions for the main image is 1500px; the variants need to be 400, 700 and 1000 in width.

Once you click on Variants in the drop-down menu you'll be taken to a page where you can choose the dimensions and save each version.

Uploading images - important note

You need to make sure you have the appropriate permissions before publishing an image or video. This includes permission of the copyright holder and, in some cases, the permission of anybody in the image (eg a signed consent form). Find out more about this on our Images page
