News story - basic

This content type is for news stories and uses a tagging system to identify which faculty, subject or theme it belongs to so that it can be showcased via the content type 'news listing - blocks'.

Example

Below is an example of how the content type looks like.

Steps

Step one - create child pages

  1. Identify where you wish to store your news stories on T4.
  2. Create a child page called 'News' in the desired section.
  3. In 'News', create another child page called 'Items' - this is where you should create your news stories.

Note: remember to untick the 'show in navigation button' for these child pages as they shouldn't be accessible from the navigation bar.

Step two - create the news stories

  1. In the 'Items' child page, press the green '+ Add content' button and select the 'news story - basic' content type.
  2. Fill in the content fields as appropriate.
  3. Repeat as many times as needed for the amount of news stories you have.

Note: these news stories are 'content items' sitting within its 'items' section, therefore if you wish to link it from elsewhere on T4, remember to select "insert content link" rather than "insert section link".
