‘Strengths for the Journey’ intervention gives hope to children in refugee camps

More than half a million child refugees have reached Greece by sea since 2014. As a volunteer counsellor in refugee camps, Dr Foka identified an urgent need for mental health interventions for these children, many of whom had suffered trauma.

The Research Feature content type is the header for research features and case studies.

How to

Select Research Feature from the list of content types and fill out relevant fields. The following fields should be populated for both Research Features and Case Studies:

  • Name: give the content type a name which will help you remember what it contains. This won't appear on the public webpage, only in T4.
  • Heading: add heading/title which will appear in the blue box.  Character limit: 80Add heading/title which will appear in the blue box.  Character limit: 80
  • Image - 1000x622, Image - 800x498, Image - 600x373, Image - 400x249: provide a media link to the image underneath the heading - you should upload the 1000x622px image to the media library then create variants for the other 3 sizes
  • Image caption: enter text which will appear immediately under the image
  • Introduction: add introductory text.  Character limit: 500
  • Date: enter a date

The following fields should be populated for Research Features only:

  • Lead Acadmic Name: add the name of the lead Academic.
  • Lead Academic Image: provide a media link to an image of the Academic
  • Lead Academic Link: add a content link to the Academic’s staff profile
  • Lead Academic Role: add the job title of the Acadmic
  • Collaborator 1-9 Name: enter the name for each collaborator
  • Collaborator 1 Internal Link: if the Collaborator is a current member of Queen Mary, create a content link to their staff profile
  • Collaborator 1 External Link: if the Collaborator is not a current member of Queen Mary, you can enter the url for their web page here
  • School or Institute: select the School or Institute the research feature belongs to
  • Reseach Topic: select the research topic(s) the research feature falls under

Tip

You should add the remaining copy to one or more General Content(s).  Break the page up with images (Full Width Image with Caption), quotes (Quote Loud or Quote Muted) and/or video (Video Card or Video Embed).

For Research Features, add a Research Org Column Container and up to 3 Column Items for associated Schools, Insititutes and Research Centres. You should also add a News Listing - Blocks to list the three latest news stories from the associated School or Institute.

For Case Studies, you can add one or more link blocks to relevant pages.  You should also add a promo block if there is one contact or a Column Conatianer and Column Promos if there are mor than one.

Uploading images - important note

You need to make sure you have the appropriate permissions before publishing an image or video. This includes permission of the copyright holder and, in some cases, the permission of anybody in the image (eg a signed consent form). Find out more about this on our Images page.
