Use the video embed content type to add a YouTube or Vimeo video to your page. You must use this content type when embedding videos, otherwise your videos won't be accessible.
This is what an embedded video looks like on T4. Note - if you want to have a heading and/or supporting text alongside the video, use the video card content type instead.
The YouTube ID is the code after the '=' sign in the URL. This is in bold in the following: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IBt7Is0noh4
The Vimeo ID is the code after the final '/' sign in the URL. This is in bold in the following: https://vimeo.com/97415838
Always use the video embed content type, rather than embedding the code directly from YouTube. The YouTube embed code isn't accessible. The ‘video embed’ content type allows you to add a clear title, which means screen readers will be able to explain to users who are partially sighted what the embedded object is.
On old and new templates.
